Due to the stress of finals and a long break I am awaiting, I am going to take a break from writing until January.
I hope everyone has a happy holidays and a happy new year! Enjoy yourselves and relax :)

December 10 2010
Happy Friday! I am quite excited for this particular Friday because Nick and I are going to a concer tonight. Live 105, which is like Nor Cal's KROQ is putting on Not So Silent Night, like Almost Acoustic Christmas. So tonight's bands are Broken Bells, Black Keys, Phoenix, My Chemical Romance, and Smashing Pumpkins. I'm more excited for Black Keys and Phoenix than anything else. I wish Florence and the Machine was playing but oh well. It will be good nonetheless.
So on to tea...
Tea: Trader Joe's Mango Black Tea
Like?: Love mango tea!
Where to buy?: Trader Joe's, probably at a relatively cheap price
Grade: A
If there are any fruity teas I like it is when they are mixed with a black tea, then the flavor isn't too sweet. This tea is a perfect combination of black tea and mango. I love the flavor of mango so this tea is good for anyone who likes mango. The mango taste is strongest when you first take a sip and then is more subtle after a few minutes. Overall, I definitely recommend this tea to anyone.
Tonight we're having grilled cheese and tomato soup because we're going to our concert and that's easy food. So I hope you all have a happy Friday and a great weekend! See you Monday!

Good morning all. Last night was my last class for my first semester of grad school. I also finished writing my 19 page paper on Wal-Mart. So now I just need to edit and what not. Happy to be done with the writing part though! Anyway, the week is almost over...yay! Hope everyone enjoys their day!
Tea: Mighty Leaf Organic Earl Gray
Like?: Like it, don't love it
Where to buy?: Safeway or http://www.mightyleaf.com/product/organic-earl-grey-black-tea-pouches/#Organic-Earl-Grey-3-Pack-3-15-pouch-box
Grade: B+
I like Earl Gray as long as it hasn't been steeping for too long. Some Earl Grays are super strong and I just don't want to drink them. They can take on a rather bitter taste if steeped for too long. Earl Gray's remind me a bit of a jasmine tea because of the bite you get when drinking it. It's not like it's a sour tea but it's not a smooth, bold tea like a plain black tea. It has a kick, but I like it.
Tonight I am making stuffed tomatoes for dinner...they are rather delicious. But note to self, don't ever make stuffed tomatoes in January when tomatoes aren't in season and cost a ridiculous amount of money. Just sayin...

Today is a very important day for any Beatles fan. Thirty years ago today John Lennon's life was tragically ended. For the past several years, I have taken this day to reflect on his life and his passion for life. He was truly a musical genius, he was passionate about our rights, and he was an inspiration to so many. So today is for you, John Lennon. As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of your death we also celebrate your life and the wonderful person you were. I did not have the pleasure of being alive when you were, but your life lives on through your music. We will never forget you. R.I.P. John Lennon.
So on to tea...
Tea: Stash Jasmine Blossom Green Tea
Like?: Most definitely
Where to buy?: Probably Safeway or online http://www.stashtea.com/products/Jasmine+Blossom+Green+Tea.aspx
Grade: A-
Today's tea is a very unique tea. If you've ever had a Jasmine tea then you know that it has a slightly bitter flavor. I can't really pick out the green tea taste as much as most green teas. I do like Jasmine green teas because I think they have a bite that is kind of a "wake up!" This is a tea you don't want to steep for a super long time if you don't like a strong tea. I like a strong tea, but this one can become bitter if left for too long. This tea is very aromatic so it leaves a wonderful smell around you while it is steeping. It also leaves a nice aftertaste on your pallet. Overall, I definitely recommend this tea!
We are having cauliflower in browned butter for dinner and let me tell you this is one of the most delicious foods I have ever had before. SOOO freaking good. Last class of the semester tonight :) YAY!!!
Have a great day today. And think about John :)

I can't believe we're already a week into December. Times really does go by fast. I had my last political sociology class last night. I really enjoyed that class. I know I learned a lot about things I didn't really know much about before. So this week I am gearing up for studying/working on finals and a paper I'm doing on Wal-Mart...busy busy!
Time for tea...
Tea: Numi Sweet Meadows Chamomile Lemon Myrtle Herbal Teasan
Like?: Yes definitely
Where to buy?: Safeway Stores, not sure how much though
Grade: A-
It's hard to really come across a chamomile I don't like. Because I think they all taste similar, I tend to like them all. This one however is unique because it is a Lemon Chamomile tea. You definitely taste the lemon in this tea, and like I said before, any tea with lemon really only tastes like lemon. But surprisingly this tea has a good combination of both lemon and chamomile. I think whoever created this tea blended the two teas together quite well. You are left with a bold lemony taste afterward, so if you like lemon this is a good tea for you. It is a relaxing flavor and kind of makes me want to lay down on my desk at work and sleep...but I won't do that. Haha :)
Anyway, I hope you all have a nice day, Annie Chun for dinner tonight! Last theory class of the semester!! Should be good :)

Good morning everyone. Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was semi relaxing. I tried not to stress too much this weekend because this is "dead" week and next week is finals and I have 4 finals and a 15 page paper to write. Meh. So this week and next week will be busy. But then Nick and I both get a nice long break in Orange County :) We will def be going to the beach, yay!
Time for tea!
Tea: Trader Joe's Candy Cane Green Tea
Like?: LOVE this tea.
Where to buy?: Trader Joe's, $1.99
Grade: A
I LOVE this tea. It is so delicious, and for $1.99? Really? Come on you can't pass this up!! I love candy canes, peppermint etc. So this tea is perfect for any minty lovers. It's not a winter green mint, definitely more a peppermint flavor. I don't really taste a lot of green tea in this tea but the peppermint flavor is just delicious. One of my favorite drinks it peppermint hot chocolate so I tried to emulate that by steeping this tea then mixing in some hot chocolate mix, not quite the same, but good effort? Anyway, definitely buy this tea, it's fantastic!!
Sandwich for dinner tonight...and people are bringing wine to class haha. So we'll see how that goes. Have a great day!

Happy Thursday everyone! Good news! Nick and I got approved for the apartment we want to move to and are going to sign our lease soon. We'll be painting our new place in an attempt to make it more "homey." I'm quite excited :) So today is a good day. And a good day for tea too!
Tea: Market Pantry (Target) Black Tea
Like?: LOVE this tea.
Where to buy?: Target or Safeway
Grade: A+
I love black tea. Just plain black tea, no sugar, no milk, just the way it is. There's something so delicious about the bold flavor of black tea. It's one of my absolute favorites! I used to drink plain black tea every day in the form of iced tea. I never get sick of this taste. I don't know what it is about black tea that I love so much, but I do. I prefer to steep my tea for as long as possible because I like the strong flavor. Definitely recommend this tea!
For dinner tonight I am making homemade pumpkin dumplings with roasted vegetables. Never made dumplings before so it should be interesting!

Happy Birthday Best Friend! I hope you have a most excellent 22nd birthday my friend, wish I could be there! Today is also World AIDS Day so please keep those who are affected by this disease in your prayers today. I could see my breath this morning outside so you know its cold! But we have a tasty tea today so time for tea!
Tea: Mighty Leaf Tea African Nectar
Like?: I do like this tea
Where to buy?: Nick bought this assorted box for me for my birthday or Christmas (I'm sorry I don't remember honey :( ) but I think you can probably get it at Safeway or www.mightyleaf.com
Grade: A-
his tea confuses my pallet. When I first take a sip I get this bold black tea taste and then after I get this sweet and slightly tangy flavor leftover. I am assuming that is the nectar part of the tea. Because this isn't a traditional tea it's hard to describe it in comparison to other teas. It is a very aromatic tea and actually smells like a few black teas we have in stock. It's flavor is very unique however. I am enjoying this tea with a cinnamon chocolate chip scone I made the other day so it is a nice compliment to the citrusy flavor of the tea. If you like unique tasting teas then this is a good tea for you.
I have no idea what's for dinner tonight because I don't cook on Wednesday because I have class. But only one week left of school and then finals after today! Yay!!!

November 30 2010
Today is the last day of November. Does anyone else think November went by way too fast? Anyway, it's a good thing. Because it means I am almost done with my first semester of grad school and after finals I get about a month or so off of school...YES!! So excited for a break. No ice on the car this morning, but still about 42 degrees outside. I'm still not tired of the cold weather though. So now time for tea!
Tea: Red Rose (I think? I threw away the bag which had the label...) Canadian Black Tea
Like?: It's kind of a funky tasting tea but not bad.
Where to buy?: I got it from someone at my last job so I actually didn't buy it and I don't really know where you can get it.
Grade: C+
Even though this tea is two things I love 1) Black tea and 2) Canadian I am not really fond of it. I'm not sure why but it leaves a funky aftertaste. It doesn't taste all that great when you're drinking it either. I can't really identify what the taste reminds me of but it's not really a flavor I wish to have more of. I really don't have much else to say about this tea unfortunately. Oh well, you can't love them all!
I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner tonight, maybe Annie Chun or maybe something else...depends on my mood :)

Annnnd we're back to a busy work/school filled week. :( Boo. Wish it was still break BUT I get a nice vacation in December :) YAY! I had to scrape ice off my windshield this morning...and it made a little pile of snow on the ground and it made me smile. I like snow, when I'm warm and bundled up and don't have to be outside. Haha. But it's quite chilly outside, around 42 degrees. So I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgivings. My break was spent mostly doing school work, but what else is new? Tea time!
Tea: Allegro Organic Pomegranate Green Tea
Like?: This is a pretty good tea
Where to buy?: Whole Foods, don't remember how much
Grade: B+
I can't really taste the pomegranate but I think that's partially because I don't know if I have had enough pomegranate in my life to really be able to pick it out. This tea tastes like a fruity green tea to me. While this tea is fruity it's not an overly sweet fruit taste, it's more a tart fruit taste, so I like it. It actually reminds me of a passion fruit tea a little. Nonetheless, I love green teas so I always recommend a good green tea!
And for dinner...no cheese sandwich tonight :) We have leftovers from dinner I made Saturday which was Polenta with two Sauces. I made homemade polenta and cut it into cubes and baked it in individual casserole dishes with semi-homemade chunky tomato sauce and a homemade white sauce with Parmesan cheese. Quite delicious! So I get to have that for dinner tonight. Yay!

November 24 2010
Good morning!! It is quite chilly here today! It was 41 degrees when I got to work. Brrr! But the crisp, cool air is quite refreshing compared to the humid, hot summers we get here. Today is my last day of work for the week, and I'm only working 3 hours today so that is quite exciting. I am very happy to be getting two days off from work and class. Although, I don't get two days off of doing work for class. Lame. So anyway, tea time!
Tea: Organic STASH chai black & green tea
Like?: Green Tea chai? Delish!!!
Where to buy?: I want to say we bought this at Safeway but I can't quite remember. You can always go online!
Grade: A-
I don't really love too many chai teas. Except for green tea chai. It is probably my favorite way to have chai tea. This is a delicious tea. Chai's are not my favorite tea to begin with but mix it with the green tea and I'm good to go! I like that the chai flavor isn't too bold in this tea. I enjoy the green tea flavor that stays after you have taken a sip. This isn't my favorite brand of chai green tea however. I think I prefer Good Earth's combination a little better. But this is still good.
And for dinner...I don't actually know what we're having but something from the crock pot.
I'm not going to write again until Monday so I am wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your break!

November 23 2010
Good morning all. It's a rainy Tuesday today. I had a hard time falling asleep last night (possibly because I am so very excited for Nick and I to have our own place again soon!) so I was very groggy waking up this morning and so on... But nonetheless, today is our Thanksgiving Potluck at work today so I am curious what food I can actually eat. We will see, but for now on to tea!
Tea: Trader Joe's Peppermint Tea (No Caffeine)
Like?: Absolutely love peppermint tea!
Where to buy?: Trader Joe's of course! It's pretty cheap too, maybe $2.99 a box? But I'm not totally sure
Grade: A
You can't go wrong with a peppermint tea. It's one of my favorite kinds of tea. I like it for any mood and any time of day. Peppermint is a strong tea so if you don't like strong tea either don't drink it or steep it for a short period of time. We probably steep our tea (in a pot) for about 7-10 minutes. And it is soo delicious! This tea leaves a very minty taste in your mouth for quite a while after you've taken a sip. That's one thing I love about this tea, it stays with you. Even though there isn't any caffeine in this tea I still think it packs a bold flavor that is sure to awaken your taste buds. So enjoy!
Thanksgiving week and I still have class, boo! Annie Chun's tonight! Have a good Tuesday everyone!

November 22 2010
Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was slightly stressful mostly because there was so much going on. And I"m extremely stressed about school right now. But the Patriots won yesterday woo!
It was 47 degrees outside but probably like 50 degrees in the office. Ahh...so cold! But anyway, time for tea!
Tea: Lupicia Vanilla Tea
Like?: Love love love this tea.
Where to buy?: Lupicia tea stores in the mall or probably online. http://www.lupiciausa.com/product_p/13105217.htm
Grade: A
I love this tea. Nick and I bought it quite a while ago at the mall. It is such a yummy tea. I really love the flavor of vanilla. Vanilla candles, vanilla cookies, vanilla cupcakes. So delicious! So this tea is a black tea so of course I love that it is has a bold flavor as opposed to a very sweet flavor. The vanilla taste stays on your pallet for a while after you've taken a sip so that is a nice thing about this tea.
Cheese sandwich for dinner tonight. Meh.
Have a good day!!

November 19 2010
Well obviously I have to start off by saying Harry Potter was fantastic! So much better than the last one (thank God!). More action and more drama. So good. Ahh definitely going to be anticipating the FINAL installment of HP this July. It will be a bittersweet end for sure. We got in around 3am last night and woke up around 7:50am. So almost 5 hours of sleep, not bad. I'm feeling it though. And I'm extremely uncomfortable from sitting on the cold hard ground for 2 and a half hours then int he uncomfortable movie chairs for 4 hours. But worth it nonetheless.
On to tea!
Tea: STASH Premium Double Spice Chai Black Tea
Like?: This is a delicious tea for sure. Very robust.
Where to buy?: Grocery stories, STASH is between $3.50-$4.50 a box. And very worth the money. Very good quality tea.
Grade: A
Nick's dad pointed out an article in the Mercury news about a week ago. And it was all about chai. The columnist decided to rate different chais to find out which was the best. And guess which made the top? Why the very chai we are drinking this morning. Here is the article if you are interested:
http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_16565045?IADID=Search-www.mercurynews.com-www.mercurynews.com&nclick_check=1
So of course you know it's a good chai when out of all the chais available, this one made number one. Although it is highly subjective. This is the strongest chai tea I have had. It has a very strong cinnamon and clove taste. Which is why Nick loves this tea, he LOVES cloves. It is a nice blend. Strong in terms of the spices, but it is a nice tea on a tired morning. The cinnamon and clove flavors definitely awaken your taste buds! So overall, I definitely recommend this tea if you are a chai lover. You won't be disappointed.
So along with the excitement of Harry Potter, yesterday was mine and Nick's very good friend Nick's birthday. There are a lot of Nick's in my life. So tonight we are going to celebrate his birthday in downtown San Jose. So I think we're going to Gordon Biersch and I don't quite know what we are going to eat there...but we'll figure something out.
This is a very busy weekend of robotics competitions, apartment hunting, dentist appointments, hockey, and the most anticipated football game (besides the Superbowl) for any Patriots fan (vs. the Colts, GO PATS). So it will be a busy and filled weekend, hopefully fun. So have a good weekend everyone! See you Monday for tea!

November 18 2010
Today is a very exciting day. Harry Potter premiers at midnight and of course Nick and I are going. YAY! Although it will be a very long and tiring night it will be worth it. So excited. So anyway, it is super chilly today, especially in my office. But this morning's tea is yummy. So here we go...
Tea: Hawaiian Islands Tea Company Passion Fruit Na Pali
Like?: This is a pretty good tea. A tangy taste because of the passion fruit and I like that.
Where to buy: http://hawaiianislandstea.com/ Or you can use it as an excuse to take a trip to Hawaii to pick it up in person. :)
Grade: B+
So my favorite beverage at Starbucks is a Grande Iced Passion Fruit Lemonade unsweetened. So this tea reminds me of that beverage. This is a lot more subtle than that tea, if you've ever had it unsweetened then you know it is a tangy tea. It is a fruity tea but has a black tea base so I like the contrast between the bold black tea flavor and the sweet and tangy passion fruit taste. I'm not quite sure what Na Pali is, so I can't really comment on that. I like this tea but it makes me want to be sipping it iced on a beach in Hawaii and unfortunately it's like 50 degrees, cloudy, and almost going to rain in Los Altos, CA. Oh well, a girl can dream.
Dinner is Subway tonight because Nick and I are going see Harry Potter tonight and we're going to nap from like 4-7 and then get up eat and go to the theater. Pretty excited. Not looking forward to the waiting part, but I'm going to bring a book I'm reading and hopefully pass some time reading for enjoyment. Yay!
Well hope all you muggles have a wonderful night! Happy Harry Potter! And Happy Birthday Nick Pinkerton!!!! :)

November 17 2010
Well it's already Wednesday, crazy. The weeks seem to go by so fast when all you do is work, read, class, sleep. Repeat. With occasional eating and some laughing with your handsome and funny husband :) But today will surely go by fast and then it will be Thursday (HARRY POTTER!) and Friday and then the weekend all just to start the crazy week over again.
But anyway, time for tea!
Tea: Safeway Green Tea with Lemon
Like?: I enjoy this tea, but it's not a favorite.
Where to buy: Safeway and it's pretty cheap, like maybe $2.99-3.99 for a box
Grade: B-
I always notice that any tea that has lemon, tastes mostly like lemon. I don't know if it just that I pick out the lemony flavor in teas or if the lemon is just overpowering the other flavors. I taste a slight hint of green tea but it's more in the after taste. The aroma is mostly lemon and the green tea smell is quite subtle. This tea has caffeine, yay! I need it today, but it's not as much caffeine as a black tea but that's okay.
Well I think that's it for tea, now for dinner.
My mother-in-law is making some no hurry vegetable curry in the crock pot...so this will be interesting? We'll see.
Have a great Wednesday! Get excited for HP tomorrow night!!!

November 16, 2010
I am super sleepy today. More than usual. I didn't really get to see Nick until I got home around 9:10pm yesterday and the Sharks game was on so I didn't really get to start talking to him until after 10pm. And so we talked until around 11:15pm or so and well, he gets up around 6am and I get up a little before 7am. So we're tired.
Annnd today's tea makes me want to nap, so no good.
Tea: Celestial Seasoning Honey Vanilla Chamomile (doesn't the sound of that make you want to sleep?) (caffeine free)
Like?: I like this tea a lot, but mostly before bedtime.
Where to buy: Safeway or Target but you can also get it on their website. http://www.celestialseasonings.com/products/detail.html/herbal-teas/honey-vanilla-chamomile
Grade: A-
One of my favorite teas is chamomile, so I automatically love this tea because of the chamomile flavor. It is an herbal tea so it is caffeine free, so not the best for tiredness in the morning. I could use the caffeine today. I also really like the flavor and scent of vanilla (so yummy!) so I like that about this tea also. I never seem to be able to pick up on the honey flavor, I'm not sure why. This tea smells sweet but it's actually not too sweet. You would think so because of the honey and vanilla. Overall, this tea is subtle and calming. It isn't a tea you drink to wake up; it's a tea you sit down with to relax and read a book. Which is what I wish I was doing right now. It is good hot or at a lukewarm temperature. It leaves a chamomile aftertaste which I love.
So that's that for tea and I have class tonight so I will probably be eating Annie Chun's Teriyaki Vegan Bowl again for dinner tonight. Yay? So ready for this quarter to be over...

November 15, 2010
Good morning all. It's Monday morning, blah. Mondays are my least favorite days for several reasons. One, waking up is way too difficult. I have class from 4:30 until 9pm. And I barely get to see Nick on Mondays.
But I have good news, today's tea is one of my absolute favorites!
So let's get to it...
Tea: Numi (Certified Organic) Morning Rise Breakfast Blend of Black Teas
Like?: I really LOVE this tea.
Where to buy: Safeway I believe. Numi is expensive. But so worth it. Around 5.99-6.99 a box of 18. http://www.numitea.com/Breakfast-Blend--Morning-Rise/p/NUMI-10220&c=NumiTea@Teabag@Black
Grade: A+
I don't know what about this tea I love so much but I do. It's one of the most comforting teas I've ever had. Perhaps it is the familiar black tea taste that I love so much. This is a bold yet not overbearing black tea blend. It makes me think of happiness when I drink it. It is a very comforting taste on the pallet. I always savor this tea whenever we have it because we only have a few bags left. I always make an extra amount in our tea pot so I can have more later. I really could drink this tea everyday and not get sick of it. Since it is a caffeinated tea it does leave my throat a little dry so I try to drink some water while I drink this tea. But nonetheless, it is delicious and I absolutely recommend it!
I have class tonight so a cheese sandwich for dinner. Bleh. I love cheese (trust me I LOVE cheese), but sometimes I want real dinner on school nights! Oh well. Semester almost over :)
Have a good day!

November 12 2010
Happy Friday Everyone! It was 48 degrees when I left the house this morning. Quite chilly but very nice :)
Nick picked the tea again but it's one of my favorite brands of teas. I pretty much like all the tea they make.
So here we go...
Tea: Hawaiian Islands Tea Company, Hibiscus Honey Lemon Green Tea
Like?: I really like this tea.
Where to buy: http://hawaiianislandstea.com/ Or you can use it as an excuse to take a trip to Hawaii to pick it up in person. :)
Grade: A-
This tea is delicious. It has a very light aroma, so it's not very strong. Just by smelling it you can't really tell what tea it is. I really like green teas but I am wary of how long they are steeped because of their bitter flavor. However, this tea could be left in your mug with the bag all day because it doesn't generate that bitter green tea taste. It is a slightly fruity tea but tastes more like green tea than anything else. I am not very familiar with the flavor of hibiscus so it is difficult for me to identify where that flavor is. I taste a subtle hint of lemon but it's not overpowering so it's nice on the pallet. It definitely leaves a green tea after taste. So if you are into exotic and tropical teas, I definitely recommend anything from the Hawaiian Islands Tea Company. And I definitely recommend this tea.
And for dinner...
Nick and I are going to In-N-Out! YAY! I have been craving In-N-Out for like weeks now. A grilled cheese and those yummy fries with a Neapolitan shake is just what I need right now. Well okay, I don't need it, but it sounds delicious!
Saturday night Nick and I are going to one of our favorite places, Tony and Albas. It is this yummy pizza and pasta, family owned and operated restaurant by the mall. We are going on a date so we'll probably walk around Santana Row, get some Ben and Jerrys ice cream and see a movie. I love my husband :)
Have a great weekend everyone! See you Monday for tea!

November 11 2010
Today was a cool 51 degrees when I left the house. Not bad actually. I rather enjoy the cooler weather. Even though I hail from Orange County, land of the 70 degree year, I always enjoyed the fall and winter the most. I don't know if it is the comfort of being bundled up or just loving to wear sweats, sweatshirts, and socks. Who knows. Anyway, on to tea..
Nick has picked the tea out again today. And he seems to be picking the teas he knows I don't like as much! Hmm.
Tea: Good Earth Energizing Black Tea (Mate and Citrus)
Like?: I didn't like this tea in the beginning I think because the citrus threw me off. But I am learning to like it more each time I drink it.
Where to buy: Safeway or other grocery stores. Good Earth can be a little pricey too. $3.99-$4.99
Quote: "The whole life of man is but a point of time; let us enjoy it." Plutarch 46 AD - 120 AD
Grade: B+
The aroma of this tea is quite strong. It is a citrusy flavor, more lemony and orange than anything. It has a tangy taste too. This tea tastes while like a lemon tea I have had. I am perplexed by this "energizing" part of the title, this tea doesn't exactly energize me. I notice that sometimes when I drink this tea it leaves my throat a little dry and scratchy. I know the caffeine from the black tea can make you thirsty but this tea in particular does this to me.
I really like this quote. I was standing in the kitchen this morning with Nick talking about the quote and he gave me a visual using his arm. He said the span of Earth is the length of his arm. The dinosaurs started about mid-bicep and went into the wrist. Humans started at the end of his fingertip and we are about to the end of the fingertip. Of course I asked, "What happens when we reach the end of the fingertip?!" Well anyway, this quote teaches us that in the span of history, our lives are but a mere short part. It is a humbling quote. It is also an awe-inspiring quote because it shows you how small we are compared to our Earth's history.
So I hope this was a good reflection for today.
Onto dinner...
Tonight we are having tofu nuggets, baked beans, and sweet potato fries. You can get the sweet potato fries and baked beans at Trader's, of course. We buy our tofu from the local Asian market, mostly because it's so cheap and they have so many varieties. My husband makes the absolutely best tofu nuggets. He is a master tofu nugget maker :) This is one of my favorite ways to eat tofu. Pair the nuggets with some BBQ sauce and it is delish! Love love love TJ's sweet potato fries. SOO GOOD! I like their baked beans too.
So that's it for today. Happy Veteran's Day to all those who have served our country. God Bless you and your families. Happy Thursday :)

November 10 2010
Good morning everyone. It was 10 degrees warmer this morning! Woo! Only 56 degrees! Nick (my husband) picked out the tea last night so I didn't know until this morning what he planned for us.
So let's get to it:
Tea: Good Earth Cocoa Chai Tea
Like?: I like chai but this is not my favorite kind.
Where to buy: Safeway or other grocery stores. Good Earth can be a little pricey too. Probably similar to the STASH teas. $3.99-$4.99
Quote: (one of my favorite things about Good Earth tea is that attached to the tea bag is a quote :) ) "A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It signs because it has a song." Chinese Proverb 1831-1881
Grade: B
This tea smells like chocolate. And while I love chocolate I just don't like the taste of chocolate in my tea. It has a bittersweet chocolate smell but definitely tastes sweeter than bittersweet chocolate. It is a smooth tea because it has a chocolatey flavor. I don't necessarily taste the chai in this tea but that's okay. It is still a warming tea. It is comforting but I can't really drink a lot of it.
And for dinner...
I only have class until 5:45 pm tonight so I actually get to eat real dinner tonight! So dinner is a BBQ corn and black bean pizza. So delish and soo simple! You need 5 ingredients: frozen corn, a can of black beans, whole wheat pizza dough, BBQ sauce, and mozarella cheese. All of these can be bought at my store of choice: Trader Joe's. Seriously try this simple pizza, it's very different and so good!

November 9 2010
It's a chilly 46 degrees outside!! But I like the cool weather :)
Tea: STASH Premium coconut mango oolong tea
Like?: I'm still trying to decide...
Where to buy: I got it for free from my mother-in-law but I'm assuming you can buy it at your local Safeway (or other grocery store); STASH teas are typically on the pricier side, around $3.99-$4.99
Grade: B-
I love coconut and I love mango. BUT I tend not to like fruity teas. For some reason I don't like to drink sweet tea. Hence the reason I always drink my tea without sugar. This tea smells like coconut and leaves you with a coconutty aftertaste so I am a little disappointed with the mango side. Where are you mango? I think the coconut taste overpowers the mango, so it's hard for me to get past that taste. Oh well!
Maybe we'll have something better tomorrow.
And for dinner...
I have class again tonight, so I think I will be putting together one of my Annie Chun's Vegan Teriyaki bowls ($1.99?) from Trader Joe's and taking that to class. I still haven't decided though.
Have a happy Tuesday!

Hello!- November 8, 2010
I decided today that I would join the blogging world. And I thought what I might blog about. And I thought "Ah! Tea of course!"
Since high school I have been delving into the tea lover's world. I originally tried only black teas, preferring the bold flavor of a Lipton (iced or hot).
Upon entering college I met a tea lover: enter Ariel Estebez. She introduced me into a world of tea I had never experienced before. And I had my first cup of Irish Breakfast, and I was hooked.
Today, I am proud to say my husband and I own over 40 types of teas. Ranging from loose leaf to traditional bags.
We have chais, greens, whites, herbals, and blacks and I never get sick of them. Well...most of the time I don't anyway.
So for this blog, I will let you know what type of tea we are having today. If I like it or not. Where you can buy it, etc.
I might also throw in a little about my passion for cooking. I am a foodie. Although a vegetarian foodie. But I promise you I don't eat salad for dinner every night! Actually, I only eat salad as a small side to my fabulously prepared meal :)
So now for tea time:
Tea: Vanilla and Cinnamon Black Tea
Like?: Absolutely. So delicious.
Where to buy: Trader Joes, $1.99
Grade: A
My favorite tea is black tea. So pretty much any combination of black tea is good to me. I like this tea for several reasons.
1. It's only $1.99!!! That says enough
2. I love vanilla.
3. Cinnamon is tasty too.
This tea has a subtle taste and give you a very wintery warm feeling. You always taste the vanilla but the cinnamon i s a little more subtle. Oxymoron, I think not. It was a crisp 40 something degrees this morning and I anticipated upon selecting the morning's tea last night that it would be so. This is a perfect tea for warming you on a crisp morning. I am sitting down with my second cup now.
And for dinner...
Unfortunately, tonight's dinner will consist of a cheese sandwich since I have class :( boo.
